Lewis dot Structure for BF4-

Some BF4-1 Characteristics

Name: Boron tetrafluoride ion
Charge: 1-

Molecular structure: Trigonal Bipyramidal

BF4-1 has 32 electrons (one more because it’s a negative ion). It forms a 3D molecule, in a trigonal bipyramidal shape. There are no lone pairs of electrons, and is quite a common ion.
BF4-1 is a molecular solid, but is a gas at room temperature.
